It makes such sense not to eat so much meat
And to eat only organic and well-raised meat when we do imbibe. I wish that I could find local, small producers here in Oxfordshire....

For the past 21 weeks I've received a bag of veggies from a CSA, so this summer I've eaten a lot of stir-fried-veg-with-rice. Alternating with, say, a baked chicken or a steak -- for my husband, who likes meat. I hadn't thought to use the chicken or steak as an accent (except in a salad). It's a good way of thinking; it means I can afford a better grade of meat.

Funny - our dinner last night (because I got home from class and wanted to watch the debate) was a Thai-style fried rice: leftover short-grain brown rice, red pepper, white onion, bok choy, spinach because the bok choy wasn't very leafy and a small amount of chicken, with fish sauce and Rooster sauce. It was delicious, it took 15 minutes, and it was perfectly appropriate for eating from a bowl with a spoon in front of the TV. (NB: I *never* eat in front of the TV, it doesn't come on that often because we don't have cable. But debates are a special case...)
