Spring?

spring snow Here’s what I woke up to this morning — welcome to spring! It’s prettier than you can see in this photo (must invest in new camera) — that pretty spring snow that clings to each little twig. It’s still snowing as I write — nice wet spring snow that will nourish all those bulbs that are just starting to poke their little heads up.

I'm a writer and editor based in Livingston, Montana. I moved to Livingston from the San Francisco Bay area in 2002 in search of affordable housing and a small community with a vibrant arts community. I found both. LivingSmall details my experience buying and renovating a house, building a garden, becoming a part of this community. It also chronicles my efforts to rebuild my life after the sudden death of my younger brother, and closest companion, Patrick in a car wreck.

  1. Thanks so much for your writing. I love your short, simple posts… and I love contrasting your spring with mine, in the drainage of the Great PeeDee River, South Carolina.

  2. Oh no. that snow is heading our way this evening – 2-5″ forecast. And the sun is out and it is warm for once… I’m so over winter.

  3. I know — my mother lives in southern Wisconsin, and she got 14″. She’s just SO over it. We had flurries today, but no real snow.
