If you’re like me, most travel involves investigation of grocery stores. The Guardian UK asks, “What do you stuff in your suitcase?”
Last trip I took was to Seattle — I returned with the following:
- Paella pan from The Spanish Table
- spices from World Spice Market
- cooler full of oysters from Mutual Fish
- Asian vegetable seeds from Umajiwaya
Question for you readers — what did you stuff in your suitcase last trip?
Oooh, this is a good meme. Amsterdam: good garden bulbs. Toulouse: piment d’espilette, chestnut honey, dry pink wine. Rome: boots. All of the above: local chocolate. (Hi, Charlotte, I have been reading for several years but never posted before. Your rolled Chinese breakfast is now my favorite work-at-home lunch.)
Hi Maryn — I don’t know what makes me happier — someone taking the meme and running with it, or that you’re eating my favorite rolled breakfast (although now that I think of it, that probably also qualifies as something one brings home from one’s travels, doesn’t it?).
